Disputes can be stressful, time-consuming, and damaging to professional relationships. Our mediation service, led by The Hon. John Ajaka Mediator, offers a constructive alternative to litigation by helping parties resolve their matters efficiently, confidentially, and fairly.

We provide a neutral, structured environment where all parties can openly discuss their concerns. As an impartial mediator, John facilitates the conversation, clarifies key issues, and helps both sides explore practical solutions based on shared understanding and objective information.

Mediation is collaborative rather than adversarial. John does not impose a decision but guides the process to reduce conflict, address misunderstandings, and identify mutually acceptable outcomes. This approach allows disputes, whether related to Compensation or Corporate matters, to be resolved more quickly and at significantly lower costs than formal legal proceedings.

Our service is designed to protect confidentiality, preserve critical working relationships, and support fair, sustainable resolutions—so all parties can move forward with clarity and confidence.

Hon. John Ajaka provides mediation services across various sectors, including Commercial Law, Property, Leasing, Probate, Compensation, Historical Institutional Abuse Claims, Family Law, and General Litigation.

Fees:

For a full day mediation, fees are $4,000.00 plus GST.

For a half day mediation, fees are $2,000.00 plus GST.

When you find yourself in a dispute with an organisation, the experience can often feel intimidating and unequal. Our Advocacy Support Person service is designed to stand alongside you, protect your interests, and ensure that your voice is heard. 

We offer dedicated, independent support for individuals involved in disputes, including those related to employment, compensation, or probate matters. As your support person, we help you prepare for meetings, attend discussions with you, and support you throughout your interactions with employers, organisations, or their representatives. Our focus is on ensuring that processes remain fair, information is clearly explained, and you are treated with dignity and respect. 

An advocacy support person plays a crucial role in rebalancing power dynamics in situations where individuals may feel pressured, overwhelmed, or disadvantaged. We assist you in understanding your rights, the issues at hand, and the options available, empowering you to participate confidently and make informed decisions. While we do not replace legal representation, we advocate firmly in your interests and can help clarify concerns or raise procedural issues when appropriate. 

This service is particularly valuable during workplace disputes, disciplinary or grievance meetings, mediation sessions, compensation negotiations, and probate-related discussions. Our approach is confidential, trauma-informed, and rooted in fairness and accountability.

John Ajaka, an experienced Lawyer, former NSW Minister for Disability Services, Ageing, Volunteering, Youth, and Multiculturalism, as well as a Non-Executive Director in the Corporate sector, will advocate for clarity, fairness, and balance as your mediator—so you can engage with confidence and protect what matters to you. 

Fees:

Preparation Meeting fees are $500.00 incl. of GST (1 hour).

Representation (unless otherwise agreed):

Half Day Meeting: $2,000.00 plus GST.

Full Day Meeting: $4,000.00 plus GST.
